Wellsource Receives Healthiest Employer of Oregon Award For Eighth Consecutive Year

By Wellsource, Inc.

The Healthiest Employers of Oregon award recognizes organizations committed to creating a healthy workplace. The companies who receive this award are evaluated on many aspects of workplace well-being, including culture, leadership, planning, communication, programming, and more.

This year, Wellsource was rated #3 for the Healthiest Employer of Oregon Award in the 2-99 employees category. This is the eighth consecutive year Wellsource has made the healthiest employer list and a confirmation that the work we put into our employee programs reflects our employee’s needs and values.

Health and wellness is the core of our business at Wellsource—the products we build, the values we hold as employees, and the mission we serve for our clients all revolve around helping people get well and stay well. We take this work seriously, and we practice what we promote.

“In this last year, we’ve found ways — and are still finding ways — to support each other, show up for one another and our clients, and really thrive. To receive this award in 2021, after a year that demanded workplaces reinvent themselves in fundamental ways, is truly a testament to the resilience of our employees, and an honor for our company.”

- Chris McReynolds, CEO of Wellsource

One of the ways our employees have been able to stay connected while working fully remote is by finding new ways to engage with one another at every opportunity we can. Our health and wellness program has always included monthly outreach, health challenges, and lunch and learns. But this last year we got more creative in finding ways to connect as team members.

A few of our newer initiatives:

  • Take it outdoors. During the dry months, we managed to meet up safely outdoors, organizing park clean-ups, assembling for team hikes, and we even managed to host a company all-hands at one of Portland’s beautiful regional parks.
  • Casual virtual hangouts. Our team hosts virtual hangouts twice a week during the lunch hour for informal chit-chat and catching up.
  • Credit where credit is due. We have instituted a “Cheers for Peers” chat channel in our intra-office messaging tool, a place to call out and recognize each other for a job well done.
